Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Team Lead – Accounting & Taxation at Mind Plus located in Colombo. As a Team Lead, you will oversee and manage the accounting and taxation functions of the organization. You will be responsible for supervising a team of accountants, ensuring accurate financial records, preparing tax documents, and providing strategic financial guidance to the company.

Qualifications:
• Preferably a Graduate in Finance / Management or partly qualified in AAT/CASL/CIMA/ACCA
• 2-3 Years of hands-on experience in a BPO company (Sri Lankan clients)
• Excellent Knowledge in Accounting Functions and Computer Literacy
• Good command of English, communication skills, and good personality
• Should possess people management skills

Responsibilities:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and taxation, with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results within budget and target deadlines.
• Experience in implementing quality control measures and ensuring compliance with ethical standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office applications.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to analyze financial data, interpret metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Experience in delegation, task prioritization, and performance management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a point of contact for team members and liaise effectively with senior management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to team members and stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, with the ability to take initiative and drive continuous improvement initiatives
