Job Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled nurse to join our assisted living service team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients, support their psychological well-being, and collaborate with our healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care, including venesection, medication administration, wound care, assistance with activities of daily living, and health monitoring.
• Psychological Support: Support patients’ mental and emotional well-being.
• Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Health Assessments Conduct regular health assessments and document findings accurately.
• Organizational and Charting Skills: Accurately documenting care plans, treatments, and progress while managing time to attend to multiple residents.
• Family Communication: Communicate effectively with patients’ families.
• Education: Educate residents and their families about health conditions and self-care techniques.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
• Education: 3 – year nursing course from a recognized nursing school.
• Licensure: Registered in NAITA /SLMC as a nurse
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in medical and/or surgical wards.
• Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to provide psychological support.
• Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Special Skills:
• Additional qualifications in psychology are highly desirable.
• Experience in old-age care
• Experience in psychiatric wards and/or clinics
