Senior Executive – Finance

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the MAS Holdings team as a Senior Executive – Finance to be responsible for the financial accounting process for all divisions at MAS Capital and MAS Holdings, month end financial preparation, analyzing variance against budgets and presenting this to the management in order to maintain accurate accounts as per organizational/ accounting standards and to facilitate the organizational decision making process while assisting the management to maintain the required compliance levels.

To ensure that MAS Capital/MAS Holdings for the investment evaluation process and adoption of the Group policies and procedures to comply Group Corporate Governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• To be responsible for reviewing monthly expenses, checking entries for accuracy, in order to maintain accurate accounts as per organizational / accounting standards and to facilitate the organizational decision-making process.
• Check all payments (transfers, bill payments etc) for MAS Capital, MAS Investments so as to ensure all payments are within budget, all payments requests completed, approvals obtained and is reasonable to the company policies and procedures & if unbudgeted, proper approval procedures were performed.
• Assist the MAS Capital /MHOLD and MASI entities’ annual audit process, working alongside the 3rd party auditors, providing them all required information, discussing & passing relevant entries where required to ensure the finalization of audited accounts for sign-off in time for the AGM to meet regulatory requirements and filing to the registrar of companies, and to the Board of Investments.
• Assist the MAS Capital & MAS Holdings annual tax computation process, working alongside with tax specialist and consultants, providing them required information, check, discuss & confirmed the computation.
• Maintaining share capital register updated on a quarterly basis to ensure, relevant share certificates are available in company’s possession.
• Ensure relevant compliance relating BOI, Statutory compliances and corporate governance levels are being adhered to. Represent MCAP & MHOL in the corporate Governance committee to ensure companies are compliance with the legal requirement, providing required information & submitting of internal control compliance assessments.
• Maintain a good relationship with external parties such as Inland Revenue department, Auditors, Mauritius management company (IMM), banks & secretaries of foreign subsidiaries, Tax consultants and company suppliers.

Qualifications, Experience, Skill, and Competencies:
• Full / part qualification in ICASL / CIMA/ Equivalent degree
• Relevant work experience in Financial Accounting/ Auditing (at least2 years preferred) Ability to use the SAP system.
• Sound interpersonal skills
