Job Description

The Senior Corporate Accountant is an experienced and detail-oriented professional responsible for overseeing the General Ledger accounting for assigned entities. This role involves managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations. The Senior Corporate Accountant supports the organization’s financial operations by delivering accurate and timely information to both internal and external stakeholders. This includes coordinating with auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions, thereby contributing to informed decision-making and the overall financial stability of the company.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Stay current with tax regulations and ensure compliance.
• Prepare cash flow projections.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
• Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making.

Qualifications
• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CGMA or equivalent and/or bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (MS Excel is mandatory)
• Fluency in business-level English language
• Should have a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification working experience, preferably within an international environment.
