Education/ Experience and Skill Requirement:
• 5- 7 years of experience in Commercial Lending in loan booking/onboarding and collateral management
• Understanding of Commercial Lending lifecycle with excellent understanding of loan agreements and other loan documents
• Knowledge of various collaterals usually pledged by borrowers under a loan
• Ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively leverage networks to mobilise resources
• Strong problem-solving skills and desire to dig into complex title issues and identify solutions
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail and timelines
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel)
• Commerce graduate/MBA (Finance)
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Responsibilities:
• Review loan agreements, approval memos and security documents to identify collateral requirements on a loan
• Extract key collateral information from documents and update banks’ system of records
• Assist client teams with lien perfection of various collaterals
• Identify and address any inconsistencies or issues in UCC filings
• Assist client teams on lien releases/security release at the time of loan repayment or part payment
• Reconcile collateral related data at the time of significant events
• Coordinate with different teams throughout the process
• Maintain detailed tracking of file status to ensure issues that need a response are promptly addressed
• Liaise with operations to remediate exceptions, if any
• Ensure compliance with the bank’s data governance policies, standards and operational procedures
• Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of project
• Meet strict deadlines and ability to work under pressure
