Key Responsibilities: Job Profile The purpose of this position is to ensure high level of financial accountability and integrity at the regional office and implement World Vision Financial policies and procedures in the areas of Programme/Project Finance. To train and mentor the Programme/Project finance staff in application and interpretation of the various financial Systems and policies, thereby assisting the Programme/Project finance staff to discharge their responsibilities accurately, effectively and efficiently in a timely manner. Major Responsibilities • Interpret and orient finance Policies and Procedure to the Filed Accountants and other Staff. • Standardizing processes throughout the Region as per the Regional, Global Center (GC) and National Office guideline • Ensure all Finance documents in field offices are filed and store in secured manner • Contribute to the National leadership in contextualizing and developing National Policies, standards, guidelines and tools relating to finance in alignment with global / regional standards and guidelines • Create and maintain a working environment in AP under purview that encourages critical thinking, learning and feedback and strives to improve efficiency, effectiveness and quality of finance function • Ensure financial reports are prepared with professional competence, and provide information to the Regional Offices/WVL management and Local Government Authorities on a regular basis. • Interpret and orient the field staff technical Budget Guidelines and GC & Regional budgetary requirement. • Assure all management reports contain current and accurate information • Take part for Investigation and handle inquiries on the request of Management. Required qualifications, experience & competencies • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Finance, preferably in INGO context • Part qualification (Intermediate level) from a reputed Accounting Body (CIMA/ ACA) or a Degree from a recognized university in commerce or business/public administration or accounting. • Effective relation building capability in order to maintain good relation with all departments and its staff, management and other stakeholders • Proficient in identifying opportunities and deliver results accordingly. • The position is based in Field location and requires ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 40% of the time and occasional overseas travel • Ability to communicate effectively in English, Ability to Reading, Writing and speaking in Sinhala or Tamil.
