About The Role

The Account Setup and Administration Internship at GTN is a unique opportunity for individuals from an accounting or finance background to gain hands-on experience in the global brokerage industry. You will work closely with a dynamic Middle Office team, learning about account administration, transaction monitoring, and financial crime prevention.

This program is designed to immerse you in stock brokerage operations, providing exposure to global financial crime prevention frameworks, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and the administration of GTN’s proprietary brokerage systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Account Administration:
• Maintain and update account information in GTN’s brokerage systems.
• Monitor account activities and ensure compliance with operational and regulatory standards.
• Address client queries and provide administrative support to the Middle Office team.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Learn and apply AML and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure adherence to the Global Financial Crime Prevention Framework.
• Operational Support and Projects:
• Participate in operational projects aimed at improving processes and efficiencies.
• Contribute to documentation and streamlining of standard operating procedures.
• Assist in the administration of executing broker and custodian accounts.

Skills And Qualifications
• Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of trading or financial systems is a plus.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for engaging with internal teams and clients.
• Eager to Learn: Interest in understanding stock brokerage operations and global financial regulations.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate within a multicultural and dynamic environment.
