As an Import Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of import trade activities. This includes purchase order creation and logistical coordination associated with our companies import activities in Sri Lanka.
Responsibilities
• Handle Purchase Orders – confirm price and availability, develop quotes and communicate lead time to relevant stakeholders
• Liaise with vendors to ensure on time shipping and delivery; coordinate with forwarder, customs broker and other logistics service providers
• Managing the supply plan to meet product demand and inventory targets across multiple product lines and multiple suppliers
• Communicating with supplier regarding quality defects to obtain credit for goods and freight
Requirements
• Background in international trade or logistics and familiarity with import process in Sri Lanka
• Experience in freight forwarding and customs brokering is preferred
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong problem solving and time management skills
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English
• Exposure to inventory management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
