Position Title: General Manager Logistics ( Top Tier C-Level )

Reports To: Director Board

Department: Logistics & Transportation

Company Overview: A top multinational blue-chip logistics and transportation company clien of ours renowned for delivering comprehensive logistics solutions across the globe. They specialize in providing innovative and efficient warehouse, transportation, distribution, and value-added services to a diverse clientele.

Position Overview: The General Manager Logistics will be responsible for strategically managing the logistics business, reporting directly to the Director Board. This role encompasses oversight of warehouse operations, transportation, distribution, logistics solutions, and value-added services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the logistics and transportation sector, with a proven track record of leading and optimizing complex logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Management:
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the logistics business, aligning with overall company objectives.
• Oversee and optimize warehouse operations, transportation, distribution, and value-added services.
• Identify and implement innovative logistics solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Warehouse Management:
• Ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and storage solutions.
• Implement best practices in warehouse management to minimize costs and maximize productivity.

Transportation Management:
• Oversee transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Optimize transportation routes and manage relationships with carriers and other transportation partners.

Distribution Management:
• Manage distribution networks to ensure seamless and efficient delivery of products to customers.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve distribution efficiency and reduce costs.

Logistics Solutions:
• Design and implement comprehensive logistics solutions tailored to the needs of clients.
• Utilize data analytics and logistics software to optimize supply chain operations.

Value-Added Services:
• Identify and develop value-added services to enhance the company’s logistics offerings.
• Ensure the seamless integration of value-added services into the overall logistics strategy.

Financial Management:
• Develop and manage budgets for the logistics department.
• Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures to achieve financial targets.

Leadership & Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the logistics department.

Stakeholder Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Communicate effectively with the Director Board and other senior management to provide updates on logistics operations and performance.

Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with logistics operations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 – 18 years of experience in logistics and transportation, with at least 5 – 8 years in a senior management role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale logistics operations.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse management, transportation, distribution, and logistics solutions.
• Proficiency in logistics software and data analytics.
