POSITION : Finance Director

LOCATION: Colombo, Sri Lanka

SALARY : Gross Rs 1.5 mn

OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading FMCG / Manufacturing company seeking for an experienced and strategic Finance Director to join their dynamic team. This role requires an individual with a proven track record in the manufacturing industry, possessing strong financial acumen and leadership skills. As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, optimizing processes, and providing strategic insights to support the company’s growth objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development and execution of financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability. Oversee the financial planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.

2.Risk Management and Compliance: Implement robust financial controls and risk management frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor financial performance against targets, identify potential risks, and proactively recommend mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, policies, and procedures.

3.Strategic Decision Support:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and capital allocation decisions. Provide strategic guidance and financial expertise to support business initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. Assess the financial implications of strategic decisions and recommend courses of action to maximize shareholder value.

4.Performance Management: Drive a culture of performance excellence through the establishment of KPIs, performance metrics, and performance monitoring systems.

Track and analyze key financial and operational metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement performance enhancement initiatives. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance function.

5.Leadership and Team Development: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Develop talent within the finance function, identify training needs, and implement professional development programs. Cultivate a culture of innovation and agility, encouraging the team to challenge the status quo and drive process improvements.

PRE – REQUISITES:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in finance leadership roles as current CFO / Director Finance within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record of driving financial performance and operational excellence.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a focus on developing and empowering teams to achieve their full potential
