Role Purpose

AECC is experiencing significant growth in line with the timely changes for students and our university and college partners around the world. As we expand our global footprint, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our Colombo Office.

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a vital role in expanding our network of partnerships and driving growth through establishing strategic collaborations, university agreements, and articulation programs.

What Does This Opportunity Mean for You

Identify and target potential partner institutions for collaboration, including universities, colleges, and educational organizations, to enhance our academic offerings and promote student mobility. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including university officials, academic departments, and faculty members, to explore partnership opportunities and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements. Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative and market-aligned programs, articulation pathways, and joint initiatives that meet the needs of students, enhance academic quality, and drive enrollment growth. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor strategies, and new opportunities in the higher education landscape. Proactively seek out and participate in industry conferences, fairs, and networking events to promote our institution, forge new connections, and generate leads. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and partnership agreements to prospective partner institutions, showcasing the benefits and value of collaboration. Work closely with internal stakeholders, such as admissions, marketing, and academic departments, to ensure seamless implementation and coordination of partnership activities. Monitor and track the progress of partnership initiatives, evaluate their effectiveness, and provide regular reports to management on key performance indicators and achievements. Stay updated with industry regulations, accreditation standards, and changes in higher education policies that may impact partnership opportunities and program development. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, digital campaigns, and targeted communication strategies to raise awareness of our institution and partnership offerings. Maintain a strong understanding of our institution’s academic programs, strengths, and competitive advantages to effectively communicate and position them to potential partners.

Skills and Attributes Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field. Proven experience in business development, partnership management, or sales, preferably within the higher education industry. Strong knowledge of the higher education landscape, including articulation agreements, credit transfer policies, and international collaboration opportunities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey value propositions and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements. Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market trends, assess business opportunities, and develop actionable plans. Proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and achieving targets
