Project Summary:

The Increased Demand and Engagement for Accountability (IDEA) is a six and a half year USAID funded activity to strengthen the civil society sector with an emphasis on working in all regions of Sri Lanka. Currently, the project is in the final year of implementation. Its objective is to support CSO work on national and local governance issues and to build capacities of CSOs and networks.

Position Summary:

The Administrative and Logistics Support will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative needs of the Capacity Building team for IDEA. This position is based in Colombo.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate logistics, budgeting, and processing of payments in support of capacity building activities in the Colombo office. Coordinate and communicate with consultants to arrange workshop logistics. Prepare budgets in consultation with consultants and staff. Review budgets of capacity building partners to ensure cost containment policies are applied and costs are in line with market value, in collaboration with the Finance Manager. Provide procurement support. Support in data entry and translations. Collect and collate resource materials.

Qualifications:
Minimum Advanced Level (A-Level) degree, Sri Lankan advanced degree equivalent to an associate’s degree, required. Minimum two years of experience working as an administrative assistant, secretary, or technical support for a public organization, NGO, or international organization required. Experience supporting senior staff preferred. Experience working with USAID-funded projects preferred. Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint required. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills required. Fluency in English and one national language such as Sinhala and/or Tamil required. Proficiency in a second national language such as Sinhala and/or Tamil preferred.
