Trainee Graphic Design
• Qualifications & Skills
1.1 Current Enrollment:
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in graphic design, visual arts, fine arts, or a related field.
Relevant Coursework:
• Design principles
• Typography
• Color theory
• Digital media
• Web design
• Illustration
• User experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design
1.2 Technical Skills:
• Basic proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Familiarity with web design tools like Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma is a plus.
• Understanding of basic HTML and CSS can be beneficial but not always required.
1.3 Design Skills:
• Understanding of design principles and elements.
• Creative abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to follow design guidelines and brand standards.
1.4 Soft Skills:
• Good communication skills for interacting with team members and possibly clients.
• Problem-solving abilities to address design challenges.
• Time management skills to meet deadlines and manage tasks effectively.
2. Experience
2.1 Portfolio:
• A developing portfolio that includes class projects, personal projects, or any freelance work.
• Showcases creativity, a variety of design styles, and proficiency with design tools.
2.3 Practical Experience:
• Previous internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work in design-related fields are a plus but not always required.
• Participation in school clubs, organizations, or competitions related to graphic design can be beneficial.
