This school is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka and is looking for a TEACHER OF HISTORY – SECONDARY SECTION

Colombo International School is a prestigious, long-established Private Day School, with branches in the centre of Colombo and in the historical hill-town of Kandy. It delivers high quality English medium education (from Reception through to A Level), to a mixture of Sri Lankan and expatriate students, who are bright, ambitious and a delight to teach.

The school’s results are consistently outstanding. Most students go on to universities overseas, mostly in the UK, USA and Australia. Currently, there are former students at a host of top universities, including Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, Harvard, Stanford, Upenn, Melbourne and at many other recognised universities in Europe, the USA, Australia and Asia.

The staff (of over 200) consists of a blend of local and expatriate teachers. The latter come on two-year initial contracts, though many choose to stay much longer.
