Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead our client’s tax division. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in tax management, with experience working directly with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) and a comprehensive understanding of tax regulations. This role will involve managing tax compliance, providing strategic tax advice, and ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of two years of experience in a tax division or tax-related role.
• Strong background in tax and accounting principles.
• Proven experience working directly with the IRD.
• Relevant experience is prioritised; formal qualifications are secondary to hands-on experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate directly with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) on tax-related matters and inquiries.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise the firm’s tax position.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to identify potential impacts on clients and the firm.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations.
• Provide guidance and support to clients on tax-related issues and compliance.
• Assist in managing tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support tax filings and compliance.
