System Architect – IPTV/OTT

Job description
Sri Lanka Telecom (Services) Limited, a fully-owned subsidiary of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC, operates the PEOTV and content business for the Group. PEOTV has been at the forefront of IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) services, introducing innovative and interactive television applications to Sri Lanka, since its inception.

We are looking for a self-motivated and dynamic individual with strong analytical and problem solving skills along with a proven track record to take up the challenging position.

Job Responsibilities:

· Design and architect end-to-end IPTV/OTT systems, including video encoding, middleware, content delivery networks (CDNs), and user interfaces

· Develop and implement scalable IPTV/OTT solutions that meet current and future demands

· Collaborate with product development, engineering, and operations teams to align architecture with business goals

· Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms to optimize system performance

· Lead the integration of IPTV/OTT systems with other digital media platforms and services

· Ensure security and compliance of the IPTV/OTT systems architecture

· Stay informed on industry trends and advancements to continuously improve our offerings

The ideal candidate should possess;

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

· extensive experience in systems design, network architecture, and deployment

· in-depth knowledge of IPTV/OTT middleware, CDN architectures, streaming protocols, and video encoding technologies

· strong expertise in IP networking, including multicast, unicast, and adaptive bitrate streaming

· experience in cloud-based solutions and virtualization for network services

· the ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects

· excellent communication and leadership skills, with a strategic mindset
