Job description
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of server environments, virtualization platforms, and storage solutions to ensure optimal performance
• Lead disaster recovery efforts and implement effective backup strategies to protect critical data and systems
• Develop and enforce security measures that adhere to compliance requirements and industry best practices
• Provide systems support for large-scale IT projects, migrations, and core business applications
• Proactively monitor systems to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance to avoid downtime
• Collaborate with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth system operations
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance infrastructure performance and security
Requirements:
• A Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
• At least 5 years of experience in systems administration, ideally within environments involving large-scale IT systems and migrations
• Deep expertise in server management, virtualization technologies, storage infrastructure, and backup systems
• Solid understanding of security best practices, compliance requirements, and disaster recovery planning
• Previous experience working with financial services systems or core banking applications would be advantageous
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a track record of proactive system support and maintenance
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Experience supporting large-scale technology rollouts, including complex migrations
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud solutions
