Job description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demand Planning & Forecasting
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop rolling forecasts.
• Analyze historical data, market trends, and consumption patterns to ensure accurate demand forecasts.
• Align forecasts with inventory and production planning for all partners.
2. Import & Supply Chain Coordination
• Coordinate with the Indian manufacturing team to plan production and shipment schedules.
• Ensure timely importation of products in compliance with regulatory and customs requirements.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
3. Partner Management
• Act as the key supply chain liaison for two Sri Lankan pharmaceutical importers.
• Collaborate with the local manufacturer to align production plans with local demand.
• Monitor partner performance in terms of delivery timelines, order accuracy, and compliance.
4. Government Tender Supply Management
• Plan and manage supplies for government institutions such as the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) and Medical Supplies Division (MSD).
• Coordinate tender commitments, ensure timely delivery, and manage documentation and regulatory compliance specific to government supply.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to meet tender requirements efficiently.
5. Regulatory & Documentation
• Ensure all documentation related to imports (e.g., invoices, COAs, regulatory approvals) is complete and accurate through proper co-ordination with the existing teams of our partners.
• Work closely with regulatory teams to ensure products comply with NMRA guidelines and other local laws.
6. Inventory and Logistics Management
• Track shipments, coordinate local logistics, and ensure timely delivery to trade, hospital channels, and government institutions.
• Monitor stock movements and expiry timelines to minimize wastage.
7. Reporting & Analysis
• Generate regular supply chain KPIs and dashboards (inventory, forecast accuracy, stock-outs).
• Conduct root-cause analyses on supply disruptions and recommend solutions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG sector.
• Experience managing imports and working with international and local partners.
• Prior experience in handling SPC/MSD tenders and related logistics will be a strong advantage.
