Job description
Responsibilities
• Assisting the agile team to define testable work that ensures that desired customer experiences and outcomes are achieved and are technically robust, high performing, stable and secure.
• Promoting continuous improvement and identifying opportunities for efficiencies to maximize customer experience and reduce test cycle time.
• Reviewing design documents, business requirements (stories) and acceptance criteria within the agile team to build test scenarios for testing activities.
• Reviewing and providing feedback on project documents to aid in the creation of testing strategies, frameworks, script development standards, test plans and test completion reports.
• Pro-actively sharing and reporting risks, issues, challenges, blockers and forthcoming tasks to the Scrum Master or Quality Manager.
• Accountable to ensure the defects are detected and reported to be prioritized (based on impact) with Product Owners.
• Providing support in highlighting software and hardware requirements to ensure proficient delivery of your role.
• Actively contribute to their Centre of Excellence (CoE) specialism by cross sharing learning as well as emerging, good and best practices with their CoE colleagues. Also comply where required with CoE standards & policies.

Essential Skills
• 5+ years’ hands-on experience with Selenium and Java.
• Prior experience with API Automation Testing using Postman and REST Assured required.
• Prior experience creating test scenarios.
• Experience implementing BDD frameworks and developing automation infrastructure.
• The ability to create reusable components.
• The ability to create and enhance test cases (test scripts) using Element locators, WebDriver methods and Java programming concepts.
• Experience with Error Handling, creating and running Data-driven Tests.
• Experience with Cross Browser testing (executing test cases against various browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Edge and Safari, etc.).
• Defining and exporting test results.
• Analyzing test results and reporting defects.
• The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers.
• The ability to work well with team members.
• Excellent communication skills – written & oral.

Essential Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
