JOB TITLE : Senior Manager Training & Development
LOCATION: Colombo, Sri Lanka
SALARY : Basic Rs 350K – 500K + VA + Fuel
OVERVIEW:
Our client is a leading apparel manufacturer seeking for an experienced Senior Manager – Training & Development with a strong background in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs that support the professional growth and skill development of employees at all levels. Experience in performance management will be considered a valuable advantage, enabling a more integrated approach to talent development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Training Program Development: Design, implement, and manage effective training programs that align with business objectives, focusing on technical, soft skills, and leadership development for the manufacturing workforce.
2.Training Needs Analysis: Conduct regular assessments of organizational training needs through job analysis, career pathing, and consultation with department heads.
3.Learning & Development Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic learning and development roadmap that enhances employee productivity and supports organizational growth.
4.Facilitation & Delivery: Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions, ensuring engagement and knowledge retention across diverse learner groups.
5.Vendor Management: Collaborate with external training vendors and institutions to source and implement specialized training programs.
6.Performance Management: Collaborate with HR and department managers to integrate training outcomes with performance management processes, helping to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
7.Continuous Improvement: Monitor, evaluate, and improve training programs based on feedback and performance metrics to ensure they meet evolving business needs.
8.Leadership Development: Design programs to identify and develop future leaders within the organization, fostering a strong leadership pipeline.
9.Training Budget Management: Develop and manage the training budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to achieve maximum impact.
10.Mentorship & Coaching: Provide guidance and coaching to employees and managers to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
PRE – REQUISITE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Training & Development, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing successful training programs across technical and non-technical roles.
• Hands-on experience in performance management and integrating training initiatives with performance improvement plans.
