Team Summary

The Business Development team at Visa is at the forefront of client relationship management and responsible both for bringing new client partnerships to Visa, as also to execute on new business opportunities with existing clients. Aligning the strategic objectives of Visa with those of the client and working with client teams across functions to arrive at common goals is a key deliverable. This team comprises self-motivated and highly driven individuals who excel with partners, work collaboratively with other Visa colleagues and have superior project management skills. Being the face of Visa with industry participants gives them an opportunity to work with a myriad set of organizations such as banks, NBFIs, non-bank payment partners and increasingly with technology providers and Fintechs.

What the Senior Manager – Business Development does at Visa:

• Responsible for business development across a set of assigned accounts in Maldives and Sri Lanka.
• Adopt a consultative selling process to identify new opportunities, make client pitches, structure commercial proposals to acquire and lock-in Visa share.
• Lead execution of account-level deliverables for assigned clients in the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
• Executes the product development strategy across core, digital, network and data products.
• Embeds Visa capabilities across Risk, Consulting, Marketing etc. to grow Value Added Services.
• Be the Voice of Visa in the client; provide thought-leadership via sharing of industry trends, regional/global best-practices, new technologies and use-cases etc.
• Improves Client Satisfaction rating through ongoing relationship management.

Key accountabilities and objectives

Key Result Areas:

• Improvement in Visa’s share in client’s credit/debit/prepaid lines of business, as applicable.
• Structuring and ongoing performance tracking of commercial proposals offered to client.
• Engagement across levels and functions within client to identify opportunities ‘below the waterline’ and embed Visa solutions & capabilities to drive volumes on new-flows and value-added services.
• Demonstrate a One-Visa approach across functions viz. Client Support Services, Brand / Marketing, Visa Consulting and Analytics, Risk to support clients and deliver added value.

Key Performance Indicators

• Visa’s share in client across issuance/purchase volume metrics.
• Revenue-driver performance across Cards in Force, Processed Transactions, Purchase volume and International Transaction Volume.
• Net Revenue & Other Revenue.
• Share of Commercial Payments and Money Movement Volumes.
• Client Satisfaction scores.

Projects you will be a part of:

Ongoing projects relating to structuring and executing client partnership deals, CVP development, co-creation & co-marketing initiatives, portfolio optimization, GTM strategies for new products & solutions, for the assigned set of clients in both Maldives and Sri Lanka.

What you will need

• Recognized degree preferably in Business Management

• 8+ years of account management, B2B sales, or strategy/business consulting experience.

• Good understanding of payments domain and country landscape (Sri Lanka and Maldives)

• Strong collaboration and communications skills and good executive presence

• Strong understanding of financials to drive client and Visa profitability metrics

• Strong analytical, negotiation and deal structuring skills

• Demonstrated program management proficiency and strong result-orientation
