SENIOR LECTURER GRADE II / LECTURER – DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING

The Role
• You will review & update the curriculum for civil engineering courses to ensure they are aligned with industry standards and emerging technologies in keeping with compliance & standards.
• Provide guidance to students, supervise projects, dissertations & support students with their internships.
• Serve on departmental & university committees, contribute to academic governance, and participate in decision-making processes within the university.
• Establish partnerships with industry professionals leading to internship opportunities, research funding, and collaborative projects.
• Engage with the wider community through outreach programs, public lectures, and consultancy services related to civil engineering.
• Contribute to program accreditation processes and maintain quality assurance in teaching and learning activities.

Requirements

Senior Lecturer Grade II
• A Doctoral degree with specialization in Structural or Geotechnical or Transportation or Hydraulics Engineering.

WITH
• At least six (06) years of experience in one or more of the following:
• Teaching at University Level.
• Professional experience.
• Research in a recognized Institution.

Lecturer
• A degree with specialization in the relevant subject with a first- or second-class (upper division)

WITH
• 02-year Master’s Degree with a research component in the relevant domain.

AND
• At least six (06) years of experience in one or more of the following:
• Teaching at University Level.
• Professional experience.
• Research in a recognized Institution.
