Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the MAS Intimates, Ratmalana team : Senior Executive – Embellishment Development to ensure all embellishment process conducted in an agile manner with enhancing the potential competencies to make the profit maximization while seeking for effective & efficient embellishment techniques

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the following duties are completed such that the embellishment process for submission of sample is carried out in an efficient manner:
• Attend pre-production meeting whilst discussing with relevant departments on all important details of the new style
• Duly complete the development tech pack and be aware of time frames and details of cutting, embellishment and sewing processes ensuring timely delivery
• Oversee the embellishment process and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure development process is in-line with customer T&A
• Coordinate with relevant teams such as pattern makers, embellishment plant coordinators to make required revisions, if submission sample is rejected or requires modifications.

Maintain continuous improvements on embellishment developments to achieve efficiency and cost effectiveness (through innovation/alternative techniques/further price negotiations) in order to make savings on embellishment

Ensure the following duties in order to prevent disruptions in the embellishment process;
• Attend to all issues reported by Sewing plants and embellishment plants with relevance to embellishment quality, delivery & timelines, and advice corrective actions to resolve them
• Provide executives and staff with the relevant Bill of Material details to facilitate a smooth embellishment process
• Work with relevant stake holders if embellishment issues arise which could disrupt production targets
• Make/facilitate commercial decisions on embellishment if there is quality concern
• Ensure allocation of embellishment styles to sub-contractors is based on past performance of similar techniques

Support the teams by developing new embellishment techniques for designer’s presentations and or customer visits to ensure set expectations are achieved

Organize meetings with relevant business teams in order to ensure smooth functioning of the process whilst liaising with customers for any development related issues or clarifications

Ensure adherence to organizational standards in areas such as BPU, compliance standards, MOS, SOPs, health and safety and 5S in all day today activities whilst assisting in relevant projects and ensuring relevant practices / processes regarding same are followed within the team

Ensure development of the new artwork is carried out efficiently an as per customer requirements by performing the following activities:
• Decide upon the most suitable embellishment plant to develop the artwork based on past performance of subcontractor, the technical ability of the plant and the requirement of the artwork
• Organize and attend the development meeting, ensuring that all technical issues related to the embellishment such as style, fabric type, ink type, are discussed with relevant embellishment plant coordinators
• Duly complete the development detail sheet at the development meeting in order to ensure that clarifications regarding embellishment are fulfilled
• Oversee dispatch of fabric to relevant embroidery/ print plants thus assuring the timely completion of embellishment samples
• Oversee embellishment process at plants and coordinate with merchandisers in order to ensure the completed panel is dispatched to customer for approval in a timely manner
• Liaise with embellishment plants to make relevant revisions to swatch ensuring adherence to customer requirements
• Oversee embellishment process and resubmit revised swatch to buyer, through merchandiser to meet order requirements

Establish and maintain relationships, follow management instructions and conduct performance evaluations of employees, recommend for training and development interventions, promotions, increments and motivate etc. to maintain a harmonious working environment

Work with management/ HR to
• identity training & development needs and coordinate HRD to fulfil the skill gaps
• engage on performance evaluation activities of the immediate staff and worker level employees.

Train, develop and supervise Executives/ staff grade employees on Embellishment related functions such that they have the right skill set/ competencies to achieve set objectives

Conduct internal trainings as an when required

Qualifications, Experience, Skill and Competencies:
• Degree qualification in the embellishment field
• 3+ Years of Work Experience in a similar role
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Technical knowledge about Embellishment Development
• Knowledge of MOS related practices and processes
• Analytical and Communication skills
• Leadership and Team Building
