Position: Senior Executive – Commercial Development

Position Summary:
Responsible for understanding shopper behaviors across different channels and turning these insights into effective strategies to maximize the category’s potential. Develop Nestlé categories to promote long-term growth, profitability, and increased market share.
A day in the life of the role:
• Identify and leverage opportunities within the Food portfolio to drive redistribution and alignment with the marketing strategy across various categories and channels.
• Capitalize on current market trends to establish data-driven short, medium, and long-term objectives for the category.
• Develop and share a clear vision for success with actionable steps for the category in each channel, informed by shopper research, and collaborate with the sales team for implementation.
• Manage trade spending effectively by ensuring promotional investments are based on shopper insights and current market intelligence.
• Propose attractive commercial strategies for the category and communicate them effectively to stakeholders, using data-driven narratives for new launches, trade schemes, and visibility initiatives.
What will make you successful:
• Education: A degree in Marketing or Business Management.
• Expected experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales or Marketing. Experience in Field Sales, Account Management, Business Development, Category Development, Distribution or involved in retail operations, preferably in a FMCG or MNC would be an added advantage.
• Language skills: Be fluent in English & Sinhala.
• Other skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be open to challenges and demonstrate out of the box thinking, ability to motivate and inspire new ideas.
