Role Purpose:
The Loan Administrator will play an important role in undertaking the key reconciliation processes and administration of such tasks for our loan portfolio. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and an understanding of key interest lending principles and practices. The successful candidate will work with the Head of Loan Management to ensure the portfolio is accurately maintained on a loan level basis and report any discrepancies accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review multiple bank statements monthly to ensure all payments are accounted for.
• Ensuring all relevant mark-ups on our Internal Reporting has been undertaken with correct information.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or issues to the Head of Loan Management.
• Update the relevant loans when there is a Bank of England Base Rate change, or a loan enters a revert rate to ensure any generated statements are up to date.
• Generating correspondence for borrowers in respect of any payment changes, insurance updates, tenancy agreements or other documentation required in respect of the loan.
• Ensure all interest payments are reflected against the correct loan information.
• Reconcile multiple data sources for loan completions and redemptions, to ensure accurate information has been recorded.
• Working closely with Analysts to ensure data models match Internal Reporting. Any discrepancies to be raised to Head of Loan Management.
• Collation of loan documentation for internal reviews.
• Adhoc loan tasks.
Role Requirements:
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.
• Proficient in using loan management software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively raise discrepancies to the Head of Loan Management.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
