Project Accountant

Key Responsibilities
• Process project-related payments accurately, ensuring compliance with BOQ lines and avoiding overpayments/duplications.
• Prepare and submit weekly project profitability statements.
• Update the general ledger for project transactions and resolve accounting errors.
• Prepare cost overrun statements for each project, ensuring timely management approval.
• Manage project-related working capital, providing daily updates on cash and borrowing positions.
• Submit accurate variance reports against profit forecasts and cash flow budgets.
• Ensure proper finalization of project accounts at month, quarter, and year-end.
• Prepare bank reconciliations for project bank accounts.
• Oversee debtor follow-ups and maintain up-to-date reports.
• Ensure accurate project invoicing and maintain proper accounting records.
• Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
• Full or part Qualification in CASL/CIMA or equivalent professional qualification or Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 3 – 4 years of experience in handling project accounting/ Construction projects.
• Hands on experience in handling QB accounting system will be an added advantage.
• High level of proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
