Position: Product Design Intern (Paid, Remote)
Duration: 6 to 9 months
Commitment: 10 to 20 hours per week
Eligibility:
This position is open to candidates outside the U.S. states of California, New York, Oregon, Washington, and the District of Columbia.
Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking a product design intern with a strong portfolio in digital product design. You should:
• Be familiar with Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) Theory and Outcome-Driven Innovation (ODI) as conceptualized by Tony Ulwick and Strategyn.
• Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain a big-picture perspective.
• Possess a quick learning ability, enabling you to overcome any gaps in your skill set.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct and document user and customer interviews based on ODI principles.
• Design user interfaces, user experiences, and prototypes for both desktop and mobile platforms using Figma.
• Develop compelling visual design solutions and validate their effectiveness.
• Create, maintain, and apply design systems.
• Write and edit UX copy, blogs, and social media posts related to the product.
• Enhance the visual design of slide decks, websites, and other company assets.
• Collaborate closely with data product strategists and engineers to tackle critical design challenges.
• Work effectively with team members using tools like Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace.
What We’re Looking For:
• A strong product design portfolio showcasing research, desktop UI, and mobile UI designs.
• Proven experience in product design, product strategy, UI design, or UX strategy.
• Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and non-verbal.
• Strong modular thinking skills, demonstrated by your ability to break down complex tasks into manageable steps.
• High emotional intelligence and a willingness to learn and grow with feedback
