Purpose of the role: As a Product Manager at Maersk Sri Lanka, you will be responsible for driving the development/execution of product strategies to meet market demands & achieve business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, esp. sales to deliver innovative logistics solutions that enhance our customer experience & drive revenue growth. Part of this job will also be to oversee the delivery team (dotted lines) who executes the logistics and services jobs to ensure smooth/timely operations and ensuring profitability, with full responsibility to monitor the execution. Build an engaged, high performing team capable of collaborating in a matrix environment to achieve the desired customer, cost and standardization outcomes, in line with internal and local regulations. Responsibilities: Develop and implement product strategies aligned with the company’s goals and market needs, Create and manage the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of product features and improvements. Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes. Analyse data to make informed decisions on product development and positioning. Work closely with sales and execution teams to ensure seamless product development and launch. Coordinate with global and regional product teams to align strategies and leverage best practices. Engage with customers to gather feedback and understand their requirements. Ensure customer-centric product development and maintain high customer satisfaction. Monitor product performance and key metrics to assess success and identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports on product performance for senior management. To prepare annual product level budgets, forecast growth areas and implement new projects/assets basis the market demands. May serve as a central governing body to review/audit adherence to methodologies, budgets, and timing. And may provide full staffing and management for the organization’s major projects/programs. Support & execute the strategy of the Regional & Area Leadership Teams, in conjunction with IBS initiatives. Developing program/project management best practices/templates; monitoring dependencies across multiple inter-related projects; gathering and reporting consolidated project status and financial information to leadership. Ensure consistent high-quality execution of all products within TbM/MbM scope, in line with internal standards and customer promises. Monitor the visibility to customers in cooperation with CX on milestones where required (end-to-end across products) Drive & monitor the team with a strong orientation towards delivering superior customer outcomes though efficient high-quality delivery networks. Accountability: Delivering/Executing product budgets of the country by close coordination with Sales and Area Product function Drive and support standardization initiatives across all product execution and provide input to process design. Monitor Vendor management (in conjunction with Procurement) To monitor the execution of the country Delivery Teams Monitor timely customer invoicing. Critical competencies: Ability to operate successfully in a complex environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders across several levels. Ability to influence stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve our business. In-depth knowledge and experience in handlings products like WnD/LCl/CHB/Air & Transportation. The colleague routinely applies subject matter knowledge to solve common business issues operating within practices and procedures covered by precedents or well-defined policies. The colleague understands the overall nature of the business and the interdependencies between own and other functions.
