Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented PHP Intern with a focus on e-commerce development to join our team for a six-month internship. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on e-commerce projects, gain practical experience, and contribute to the growth of our web development initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in PHP programming, along with a passion for building innovative e-commerce solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain e-commerce websites and applications.
• Implement and customize e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify) to meet client requirements.
• Develop custom features, modules, and plugins for e-commerce platforms using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Integrate third-party APIs for payment gateways, shipping providers, and other e-commerce services.
• Optimize website performance, user experience, and security for e-commerce applications.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and functionality of e-commerce solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in e-commerce development.
Requirements:
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in PHP programming language and its application to e-commerce development.
Familiarity with popular e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify) and their customization capabilities.
Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
Experience with relational databases and SQL queries.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services integration.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving.
Prior experience or projects related to e-commerce development is a plus.
Age below 25 years preferred (flexible based on experience and qualifications).
Mandatory to have a Laptop/ PC with a good internet speed and a noise cancellation headset to work remotely with backup devices.

We offer competitive salary packages (starting basic salary from 15,000 LKR -30,000 LKR plus other benefits) based on experience, skills, and performance. (* Please be aware that we will provide reasonable compensation and benefits based on the existing values of the Sri Lankan market and the rates for entry-level, beginning resources in this domain to work in a fully remote setup)
