Job Purpose
The Managing Director (MD) for our liner shipping subsidiary will spearhead the strategic vision and operational execution to drive sustainable growth and achieve organizational targets within the sector. This role entails ensuring compliance with the Group’s policies and relevant regulations while fostering ethical business practices specific to liner shipping. The MD will collaborate closely with the Senior Management team, Board of Directors, Shareholders, and key stakeholders to make informed and timely decisions. Regular assessment of performance metrics, priority setting, and team development will be essential components of this position, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of our liner shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize operations and expand commercial opportunities.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure that the company runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Lead, mentor, and develop senior management and staff across all departments.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence within the organization.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and partners.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
• Report regularly to the board of directors on performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or in a related Field.
• Proven experience as a Managing Director or in a similar leadership role.
• Significant experience in liner shipping, with a strong background in both operations and commercial management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into actionable points.
• Excellent communication and consensus-building skills in written, verbal, and presentation formats
• A passion for excellence, with a precise and effective approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
