Manager – HR Business Partnering and Talent Management (Hanwella)

This role would enable you to oversee and manage all aspects of HR Talent Management at both local and international levels ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and contribute to the development of HR strategy, guiding HR Business Partners to deliver strategic solutions in areas like talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, learning and development, payroll, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
Key Accountabilities:
• Oversee HR talent management across all locations, ensuring compliance with policies and strategic development. Manage key functions like Performance Management and Recruitment and supervise executive promotions to maintain transparency and standards.
• Facilitate the annual Talent Management plan across business units, aligning with the division’s strategic goals in consultation with management teams. This includes providing insights for the HR Hoshin and annual budgets.
• Oversee Training & Development for senior employees globally, ensuring policy compliance and alignment with HR strategy. Manage internal promotions and training processes transparently and uphold standards in collaboration with plant and department heads. Lead succession planning for supervisory roles and the TL/GL(Team leader & Group Leader) project in HR, focusing on effective training and leadership development in line with corporate guidelines.
• Develop and implement the annual Talent Management plan in line with strategic objectives, including HR Hoshin and budget preparation.
• Advise on career management and succession planning, develop action plans, and guide unit heads on talent retention and development.
• Integrate risk management into the organizational culture and focus on gaining competitive advantage.
• Lead the Business Partnering team, providing strategic guidance and translating business goals into human capital strategies.
• Manage HR processes and policies, partner with global HR teams for initiative implementation, and coach managers on employee relations.
• Oversee budgeting processes, manpower planning, and recruitment to meet organizational needs and support decision-making based on equitable remuneration policies.
• Drive Talent Management execution and employee engagement, ensuring policy compliance and process effectiveness.
• Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, transitions, and performance management, and develop career paths and succession plans.
• Partner with Talent Development to enhance people management skills and deliver core HR training.
• Consult on compensation cycles, influence a robust employee relations culture, and ensure compliance with legal and governance frameworks.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR or equivalent qualification.
• 2-3 years of work experience in a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid business acumen and understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in IT and HR systems.
• Ability to travel as required.
