Manager – HR Business Partnering

The Job
The person will be responsible to lead the HRBP team and drive organizational effectiveness through strategic HR initiatives with the objective of building a high-performing and strong organization culture that can attract, motivate, retain and develop the right talent
Principle Accountability:
• Aid in devising annual HR strategy, budget and working plans in alignment with the organizational goals and priorities
• Oversee implementation of HR programs, policies, and processes across the organization, while leading the implementation for all support functions and Operations
• Partner with the support functions and Operations function head to understand their people issues, identify solutions and resolve issues for them
• Continuously research and understand the HR market landscape and trends to aid decision making of the business
• Highlight human resource related gaps in processes to the higher management and suggest actions/solutions to resolve them
• Lead the implementation of performance review process; guide managers and ensure adherence to timelines to facilitate building a high-performance culture
• Responsible to aid in the process of implementing succession planning for the business; support in identifying critical positions for succession planning, identify the parameters and support in identifying the individuals for development
• Collaborate with respective COEs (Center of Excellence) around critical aspects such as strategic workforce planning, and organization structure implementation for the respective business
• Ensure the correct operational structures are mapped in consultation with the function heads for the entire organization
• Ensure workforce planning is conducted taking into consideration the function needs and future plans
• Manage and mitigate employees’ grievances by ensuring supervisors and leaders are creating an open forum for discussion and resolution of the same
• Deploy employee engagement initiatives across the functions and ensure tracking; work closely with the COEs to provide them feedback to further improve engagement scores and engagement
• Responsible to implement employee wellbeing initiatives and DEI initiatives for the respective functions
• Regularly be in touch with the employees to get an understanding of the pulse of the organization and feed this information to the COEs to devise effective employee centric initiatives
• Oversee the effective implementation of PMS, rewards, engagement, wellbeing and DEI initiatives for the entire organization; provide guidance and support to the other HRBPs from time to time on case-to-case basis
• Stay abreast with current labor affairs, laws and enactments, report and recommend necessary changes to the internal policies, procedures and processes
• Provide leadership to the team to drive innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making
• Guide and monitor performance to ensure productive and professional delivery
Qualifications and Experience:
• 06 – 08 years of experience in managing the total scope of HRM
• Degree from a recognized university in the field of Human Resources
• MBA or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage
• Hands on experience and in-depth knowledge in overall HR processes, practices and policies
• Proficiency in HR systems and data analysis tools
• Sound knowledge of labor regulations in Sri Lanka
• Strong adaptability, work under pressure and capacity to work in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment
