Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Manager – Finance & Accounts to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in accounting and finance, with over 5 years of experience, preferably in a managerial capacity.

This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive professional capable of managing multiple tasks, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and contributing effectively to strategic decision-making processes.

Candidate profile
• Degree in Management / Finance from a recognized university or CA/CIMA (preferred).
• 5 + years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Expertise in ERP systems, accounts payable / receivable, and statutory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ethical standards with zero tolerance for unethical processes.
• Analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and effective team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and verify all accounting activities to ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and timely completion of month-end tasks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including taxation, labor laws, secretarial requirements, and ISTFA.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders such as bankers, government authorities, external/internal auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Generate MIS and financial reports to support management in decision-making.
• Prepare and submit credit vouchers, VAT schedules, and tax-related documents in collaboration with the external audit team, ensuring proper filing with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).
• Regularly reconcile transactions and confirm vendor balances to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist auditors by providing necessary documentation to facilitate smooth audit completion.
• Coordinate with banks for loan management and ensure adherence to government regulations.
• Benchmark industry practices and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements.
• Lead and motivate the finance team by setting clear objectives, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of excellence.
• Drive innovation and enhance financial systems and processes for greater efficiency.
