Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Finance to join Cinnamon Life, the much anticipated 1 billion USD project, opening in late 2024. Cinnamon Life is a part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka’s largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.

As the Manager, Finance, you will report to the Assistant Director, Finance and will be responsible for a diverse range of financial duties, including but not limited to financial reporting and analysis. Your sharp attention to detail will be instrumental in navigating the intricacies of financial systems, thereby ensuring the ongoing financial well-being of our hotel.

In this role, you will assume a pivotal role in overseeing the financial reporting for Cinnamon Life. Your multifaceted responsibilities will include timely and accurate reporting on financial results of the entity, meticulously crafting and managing financial plans, establishing robust financial systems and controls, adeptly managing working capital, and navigating the complexities of taxation matters. In this role, you will ensure adherence to statutory regulations and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), addressing critical auditor queries, enhancing process efficiency, and supervising compliance with financial procedures. Additionally, you will take action on any instances of non-compliance and provide guidance to various functions to minimize such occurrences.

The ideal candidate for this position should either hold membership in a professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or possess an equivalent finance qualification.
