Legal Analyst

Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate to join our legal process outsourcing team, supporting an Australian-based client. This remote position is ideal for a legal professional based in Sri Lanka with experience in mortgage due diligence and litigation support. You will work on time-sensitive matters, contributing to seamless transaction execution and effective dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough title searches and property due diligence for residential and commercial mortgages. • Draft, review, and finalize mortgage documentation. • Liaise remotely with financial institutions, conveyancers, and legal teams to coordinate execution of documents. • Provide same-day settlement support, including real-time coordination with stakeholders. • Ensure all documents and procedures are completed accurately and on time to facilitate smooth settlement processes. • Assess cases for recovery action and prepare pre-litigation demand letters. • Support the preparation and filing of pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents. • Assist in case management, including compiling evidence, conducting legal research, and managing case files. • Collaborate with external counsel and client representatives on court proceedings, mediation, and arbitration. • Provide support for settlement negotiations and drafting settlement agreements where required.

Qualifications

• Qualified legal professional (Attorney-at-Law or equivalent). • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mortgage law, litigation support, or property related legal services. • Familiarity with Australian legal systems and procedures (especially property law and litigation). • Strong drafting and legal research skills. • Ability to manage high volumes of work with attention to detail and accuracy. • Excellent communication and coordination skills in a remote, cross-border client environment. • Proficient in MS Office and legal case management tools.
