Job description
Primary Objectives
• Ensure students, receive high quality training and assessment aligned to industry standards.
• Adhere to CAHM’s quality framework, which is based on the Australian Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.
• Adhere to the requirements of the relevant regulatory authorities including Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). Liaise with local industry and the community to ensure that education and training are relevant and responsive to needs.
• Follow the detailed Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS).
• Assist in unit validation and review of training programs to support continuous improvement.
• Actively maintain and share current knowledge and skills in the programs being delivered.
• Ensure assessment is valid, reliable and fair and allow flexibility in delivery and assessment to take into consideration students’ needs and learning abilities.
• Enhance the reputation of CAHM by behaving in a professional and ethical manner in all situations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students to support their academic and personal development.
• To bring in creative and innovative deliverables to improve the knowledge and skills of our students through their journey.
Typical Functions
• Assist with program related educational administrative tasks such as recording attendance, assessment results and updating student folders.
• Assist team members with learner resource enhancement.
• Provide advice and guidance within areas of specialist expertise. Provide students with learning support on course work issues.
Qualifications
• Diploma holder in Culinary Management / Hospitality or Related field.
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of Professional Experience in the Culinary Industry. If applying for Commercial Cookery or Patisserie.
• Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills (Written and Verbal).
• Good command over the English Language.
• Teaching experience in a vocational or tertiary education setting is preferred.
• Proficient in the use of Technology, including Learning Management Systems, Online Collaboration Tools, and Multimedia Resources will be an added advantage.
• Relevant work experience in the education industry will be an added advantage.
• Responsible for generating, monitoring, and analyzing relevant academic reports.
• Possessing TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Qualification will be most advantageous.
