Learning and Development Specialist ( On Site )

Full time, Colombo, Sri Lanka

In this role, you will assist in coordinating all Training programs in conjunction with Learning and Development to enable efficient and effective operations of Learning and Development. You will identify the training needs through job analysis, appraisal schemes, and regular consultation with business managers and People and Culture team to prepare and maintain the annual Learning Calendar based on business requirements.

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will
• Execute processes and administer tools and resources as necessary to ensure effective training deployment
• Create countermeasures to fix performance, system, or process gaps, taking necessary steps to support improvements
• Create new and modify existing Learning Activities and Learning Assignments in the Learning Management System (LMS) and upload it in the LMS with help of the LMS team
• Prepare and compile training materials, as required
• Understand the competencies to perform a job role and a talent competency gap to undergo new job assignments/roles in association with the talent management team
• Review the developmental action plan regularly to measure the progress of the talent and perform course corrections

About You
• Extensive experience in a Learning & Development role, preferably within the airline and ticketing and reservations domains.
• Experience conducting classroom and online training sessions for all staff levels, with training experience for overseas entities considered an added advantage.
• Excellence in working knowledge of all MS applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong Analytical skills and business acumen
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving and provision of novel solutions
• Disciplined attention to detail and accuracy
