Junior Accountant

Job description

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a foundational understanding of accounting principles to grow and develop in the field. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting daily accounting functions, assisting with financial reporting, and contributing to process improvements within our fast-paced and innovative company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Process and verify accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
• Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance-related documentation.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure proper accounting for all transactions.
• Provide assistance during internal and external audits.
• Work closely with senior accounting staff to support process improvements and contribute to the development of more efficient workflows.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for financial transactions.
• Learn and adapt to new financial software and tools, contributing to the implementation of technology-driven improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Partly qualified in CA, ACCA, or a related accounting qualification (or actively pursuing qualification).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges, with a proactive attitude toward personal and professional growth.
