IT Business Lead

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the MAS capital team as a IT Business Lead. IT Business lead will act as a consultant and a implementor for multiple SBU locations. Responsible for coming up with infrastructure support strategy to support SBU operation based on their growth strategies. Determine the IT infrastructure support resource needs of an SBU and plan it within the budgeting year (resource planning needs to be aligned with central outsourced support strategy), also responsible of identifying the requirements and do the IT budget according to guidelines of Central IT team/ SBU needs including network upgrades/device requirements. Incumbent is responsible of monitoring and upkeep the SBU infrastructure/processes according to ISO 20000/ITIL standards and implement central support strategies at the SBU level.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership to the allocated Support team, including on the job training of new recruits and continuous training for existing as required in liaison with the Support Manager, Monitor , guide and manage performance of the team in the areas of IT infrastructure while also playing the role,
• Be the single point of contact for SBU collating project information, optimising and improving processes while managing all stakeholders while being improvement focused and identify weaknesses and standardise the recurrent processes in line with the Governance Framework of MASTS, to continuously improve the SBU IT Support process.
• Read the strategic needs of the business in line with the Business direction and contribute in all possible ways to ensure quality and value added support keeping in line with the Governance and value framework of MAS
• Consolidate the Zonal Budget as per the required standards in liaison with the relevant IT Support Specialists and discuss for approvals and feedback the Team. Keep abreast of the movements and deviations from the standards.
• Ensure support service levels are met as per the MAS-TS standard SLAs while being proactive and looking for opportunities on how IT can improve its Service Delivery
• Manage Infrastructure Network projects which includes identifying current and future business requirement , managing internal/ external project stakeholders, make sure project is driven according to MAS TS governance and procurement policies and procedures. Making sure the project delivers a scalable IT infrastructure that benefits the organization within the timeline and the budget.
• Responsible in maintaining the ISO27001 IT standards in IT Incident management and IT asset management also closely monitor and take responsibility over subordinate team actions.
• Take part in IT strategic planning activities that reflect the future vision of the organization both at SBU and Central IT level, while keeping up to date with technology and maintaining technical aptitude
• Work with network engineers to design infrastructure improvements and changes and to troubleshoot any issues that arise and establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
• Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation
• Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
• Conduct timely meetings with assigned vendors and manage the outsourced partners making sure Staffing capacity planning and allocation, service process design, performance analysis, and developing proactive resolution plans. While designing, reviewing and managing contracts relevant to SBUs and or entities under said Lead with the partner ecosystem.
• Plan and manage infrastructure technologies that can support complex and heterogeneous corporate data and voice infrastructure while creating and documenting proper maintenance procedures .
• Lead, manage and coordinate any SBU related infrastructure projects for Systems, Servers and including software rollouts, security implementations and any other MAS Organizational infrastructure and digital projects while managing project progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Assist in handling software distributions and software updates and patches making sure all organization assets are in compliance with MAS standards.
• Conducting project review and collating detailed reports for SBU Exco.
Qualifications, Experience, Skill and Competencies:
• Technical Aptitude: Must have a firm understanding of information technology.
• Ability to understand and be up to speed with new technologies, platforms and environments
• Knowledge of Cloud services eg. Azure, AWS, and other Public Cloud Infrastructure
• Be well versed in several computer operating systems as well, such as Windows and Linux.
• Must be able to work well with a team of people and have solid leadership skills.
• Attention to details and customer service.
• Ability to effectively work with partners and vendors.
• Knowledge of budgeting.
• Ability to learn new technology through self-study.
• Ability to translate highly technical information for audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/REST JSON /XSLT/SOAP WSDL
• Ability with database Admin/Query skill for Oracle and/or PostgreSQL, SQL Server is a ‘must’.
• Familiarity with following environments (SAP, Oracle e-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud, Workflow Management System)
• Knowledge of ERP, PLM, CRM, WMS or MES systems.
• Knowledge of Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Web Based UI’s and reporting.
• Knowledge on analytics and reporting services
