Job Summary:
Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized e-learning courses for third-party clients. This role involves collaborating with clients, subject matter experts, and internal teams to create engaging and effective learning solutions tailored to the specific needs of various industries and audiences. The ideal candidate should be highly creative, capable of developing detailed storyboards, and proficient in using various e-learning authoring tools and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement and Needs Analysis:
• Work closely with clients to understand their training needs, objectives, and target audience.
• Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to determine instructional requirements.
• Develop project proposals and design documents outlining the instructional approach and delivery methods.
Curriculum Design and Development:
• Design and develop comprehensive instructional materials, including course outlines, lesson plans, activities, assessments, and multimedia content.
• Create detailed storyboards that visually represent the instructional materials, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and client expectations.
• Ensure that instructional materials are aligned with client objectives and industry standards.
• Utilize instructional design theories, methodologies, and best practices to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
Project Management:
• Lead instructional design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, IT professionals, and external vendors.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Evaluation and Improvement:
• Assess the effectiveness of instructional materials and learning experiences through formative and summative evaluations.
• Collect and analyze feedback from learners, clients, and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement revisions and updates to instructional materials based on evaluation results and emerging trends.
Research and Innovation:
• Stay current with advancements in instructional design, educational technology, and learning sciences.
• Explore and experiment with new tools, technologies, and approaches to enhance the learning experience.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of instructional design practices and processes.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design or a related field, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Experience in creating customized e-learning solutions for diverse industries is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia creation tools and ChatGpt
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and curriculum development.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Creativity: Strong creative skills with the ability to develop detailed storyboards and innovative learning experiences.
• Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in corporate training environments and working with third-party clients.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive design.
• Familiarity with data analytics and learning analytics tools.
• Certification in instructional design or educational technology.
