About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead procurement strategies and ensure robust financial oversight. This role combines strategic procurement expertise with financial management to optimize costs, mitigate risks, and support our expanding focus on solar energy solutions and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, contract negotiation, financial analysis, and internal controls, particularly within the telecom, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Management:
• Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies for telecom, energy (solar), and infrastructure projects.
• Manage supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
• Oversee the procurement lifecycle, from requisition to payment.
• Conduct market research to optimize supplier selection, particularly for renewable energy solutions.

Financial Control & Risk Management:
• Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance to drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks.
• Implement robust internal controls for financial reporting accuracy.

Collaboration & Leadership:
• Align procurement and financial strategies with organizational goals.
• Work closely with legal teams on contract finalization.
• Partner with operations to streamline procurement processes for solar and infrastructure projects.
• Lead and mentor procurement and finance teams, fostering continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:
• 5-7 years of experience in procurement, financial management, or related roles.
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and financial analysis.
• Experience in telecom, energy (solar), or infrastructure industries (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• CIPS, CMA, or other professional certifications (preferred).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Microsoft Navision) and procurement tools.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
