Graphic Designer and Concept Artist – Experiential Projects

Your role

The Concept Artist is primarily responsible for conceptualising and designing multimedia experiences. You will work with the Creative Director and other team members to understand the project’s desired expectations and develop a design aesthetic and content flow. The work will involve visualising the initial proposal from pitch to production and seeing it through to end execution.

The roles will also require you to develop design elements for pitch decks, websites and content for promotions

Functions and Responsibilities
• Be responsible for producing concepts and visual content to support experiential projects while respecting deadlines.
• Participate in the creative process with the project teams, brainstorming, proposing visual concepts, and developing mood boards and mockups.
• Work with teams and individuals of all disciplines (design, production, technical) to understand capabilities and explore possibilities for a project’s physical realisation.
• Evaluate and suggest appropriate production techniques.
• Be constantly on the lookout for new creative and technical developments related to the position of concept artist. Perform any other responsibility or task related to your position.

Requirements
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in arts or a related field.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and similar software.
• Working knowledge of a 3D software such as C4D or Blender.
• A good understanding of print production and fabrication.
• Excellent understanding of light and environments.
• Functional professional command of Sinhala and English, both spoken and written;
• Knowledge and interest in technology used in multimedia and live event production.
• Knowledge and interest in AI to leverage concept development and content production.

Work Conditions
• Hybrid working arrangement. You will have space at the VEAG studio with remote work.
• Occasional work outside office hours.
• Occasional travel, within and outside Sri Lanka.
