General Manager- Engineering

Job description
Responsibilities
• Prepare and submit costings and quotations in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with company guidelines.
• Collaborate with the prototype team to evaluate designs and ensure they meet desired outcomes and quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze and address quality claims through corrective and preventive measures, contributing to ongoing process improvements.
• Drive innovation by enhancing product design for manufacturing, ensuring competitiveness, and incorporating the latest technologies.
• Lead the Design and Development team, managing workloads, mentoring, and fostering talent development to ensure team retention and performance.
• Comply with Quality, Environmental, and OH&S Management Systems, participating in audits to uphold organizational standards.
• Support business development by identifying new opportunities, trends, and customer needs, while contributing to departmental goals and company objectives.
• Oversee project progress, ensuring timely completion while aligning with set plans and objectives.
• Release accurate and verified design documents, BOMs, and instructions to facilitate smooth production processes.

Requirments
• Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, with an MBA or MSc preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in design and development, including at least 7 years in a managerial or leadership role in the engineering product manufacturing industry.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking abilities, and hands-on project management experience with complex engineering product design.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, with a preference for experience reporting to international corporate or Group structures
