Responsibilities:
As the Finance Controller at Codimite, you will oversee the company’s financial operations, providing strategic financial insight and ensuring that all financial practices align with our growth objectives. Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the financial planning and budgeting processes, offering actionable insights to support executive decision-making.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company and client requirements.
• Managing cash flow, forecasting, and risk assessment to support sustainable operations and expansion.
• Establishing and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Coordinating audit processes and liaising with external auditors to facilitate transparent and compliant reporting.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, optimize costs, and drive operational efficiency.
• Providing training and guidance to finance team members to enhance overall financial literacy and operational performance.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, ideally within a software development or technology-focused environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, budgeting, and reporting standards, with experience in both Sri Lankan and USA accounting practices being advantageous.
Skills:
• Proficiency in financial management software and tools, such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to effectively manage a team within a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, including fluency in English, with an understanding of USA business culture to effectively liaise with clients.
• Experience working within a global client framework, with an emphasis on aligning with different time zones and meeting deadlines across international markets.
• Additional Considerations:As our client base is primarily located in the USA, familiarity with American accounting standards, such as GAAP, and experience working with international clients are beneficial. The ideal candidate will also be flexible with time zone considerations to facilitate communication with our USA-based clients and align with their schedules when necessary.
