Financial Accountant

Job description

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the overall financial operations of the company.
• Prepare and submit financial and management reports in accordance with prescribed timelines.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, tax requirements, and other relevant laws.
• Develop budgets and forecasts while actively engaging in budgetary control activities.
• Handle both local and international banking operations, reconcile bank statements, and manage cash flows effectively.
• Plan, coordinate, and complete the company’s annual audit while liaising with external auditors.
• Liaise with financial institutions, the Inland Revenue Department, BOI, Customs, and other relevant external institutions as required.
• Stay updated on developments related to financial activities, including tax regulations, accounting policies, standards, and legal changes.
• Supervise routine functions within the finance department and actively participate in financial operations.
• Provide proactive support to team members.
• Demonstrate flexibility by taking on tasks beyond the defined role scope as needed.

Pre-Requisites
• A professional qualification from a recognized accounting body (CA Sri Lanka/CIMA), along with a BSc degree.
• Experience in a similar role within the audit or non-audit sector is preferred.
• Prior experience in software and business processing organizations is advantageous.
• Knowledge and experience in international client handling and logistics operations would be beneficial for the role.
