Financial Manager

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Financial Manager to manage and reconcile financial records across all our entities. This role involves weekly reconciliations, monthly management accounts, bi-weekly receivables and payables reporting, and the preparation of payments through Wise. The successful candidate will work closely with Swati, who will provide weekly supervision and oversee the filing of year-end accounts. Following a comprehensive handover period, the current outsourced bookkeeping team will be retired, and the in-house accounting team will be expanded with an additional staff member. During periods of holiday or sickness, coverage for this role will be provided by the Operations-Focused Accountant.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Financial Reconciliation and Reporting:
• Ensure weekly reconciliation of records for all entities, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and circulate monthly management accounts to relevant stakeholders.
• Rental Payments Management:
• Reconcile rental payments for the Property Management Company, ensuringtimely and accurate processing.
• Issue reminders for overdue rental payments, maintaining effective communication with tenants.
• Receivables and Payables Reporting:
• Generate bi-weekly reports on receivables and payables for all entities, providing clear insights into financial standings.
• Create and manage payments through Wise, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Documentation and Team Expansion:
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date financial documentation to facilitate a smooth transition from the outsourced bookkeeping team.
• Assist in the onboarding and training of additional accounting staff as the team expands.
• Reporting Structure:
• Reports directly to Co-Head of Finance, who will provide weekly supervision and oversee year-end account filings.
• Collaborates with the Operations-Focused Accountant for coverage during absences.

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA are advantageous.
• Fluency in Spoken and Written English

Experience:
• Minimum of 3 – Maximum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within property management or multi-entity organisations.
• Proven experience with financial reconciliation, management accounts, and payment processing.

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
• Experience with Wise or similar payment platforms is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.

Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Role to be paid in GBP with a UK Contract, therefore will attract possible taxation benefits
• Competitive salary commensurate with experience:
• Salary starting from Rs.300,000/ month, paid in GBP
• Plus 5% allocation for benefits (Team will decide how to allocate benefits allocation, which may include health insurance, other standard benefits, transport and socials.)
