Key Responsibilities of this role:
1. Bookkeeping, Tax, Audits, Bank Reconciliation:
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company.
• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
• Managing income and expenditure accounts.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including withholding tax and VAT.
• Coordinate timely internal audits and prepare the necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and resolve findings promptly.
2. Budgeting, Reporting, and Management Accounting:
• Create annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor performance against the budget and provide variance analysis.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and analyze various financial scenarios to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:
• 2 to 3 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
• Completion of the second level of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).
• Experience with Zoho Books or QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
