Job Title: Executive / Senior Executive – Human Resources
Location: Horana, Sri Lanka
Company: Leading Glass Manufacturing Company
Salary: LKR 90,000 – LKR 150,000 GROSS
OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking a young and performance-oriented individual to join their team at their main glass manufacturing plant in Horana. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in managing HR functions with a particular focus on Industrial Relations (IR) and employee relations (ER).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage Industrial Relations matters relating to staff discipline, grievances, and misconduct investigations.
• Coordinate with the workers’ union on employee-related issues and ensure smooth communication.
• Administer the grievance process accordance to the company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Keep management updated on changes in labor laws and ensure timely adaptation within the company.
• Conduct disciplinary inquiries for reported misconduct, ensuring compliance with company policies and codes of conduct.
• Continuously review and enhance current IR practices and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate IR records and prepare necessary reports for management.
• Assist in the performance evaluation of non-executive employees and ensure follow-up actions.
PRE-REQUISITES:
• Degree in HR/Business Management, or equivalent qualifications in HR Management.
• 2-3 years of experience in a unionized environment.
• Additional qualifications in Industrial Relations or Labor Law would be a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor law, and advanced HR techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Male candidates are preferred.
