EXECUTIVE – PROCUREMENT – BODYLINE TRADING (PVT) LTD – HORANA

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Bodyline – Horana team as an Executive – Procurement to ensure right quality material is available on time at the best possible price to ensure on time garment delivery through Follow-up on order placement, ensuring material avaible for loading freeze plan, follow up on rejections & liabilities, as well as on time payments for suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• On-time placement of purchase orders for right material, quantity for right price to right supplier. Also make sure purchase values do not exceed the costed raw material value of the order. In house excess stock allocation first in first out basis before placing an order with supplier.
• Ensure that the purchase order is released by the Finance Executive prior to passing onto the supplier through the portal.
• Ensure that supplier order confirmations are done within 48 hours and also check against the Purchase Order. Negotiate to convert suppliers who request for advance payments to credit term and to reduce supplier tolerance levels.
• Get supplier order confirmations on time and update (AB/ET) in system. All suppliers who have been mapped to the portal should be communicated on order confirmations through portal.
• Carry out weekly supplier status check, whilst following up on Lab Dip/Bulk Submission approvals and Test Reports.
• Strive to use sea mode for transportation even if it is costed by air.
In the event of a rejection, follow up with the supplier to get down replacement or to claim back the cost from supplier.
• Ensure on time material availability with correct quality and quantity. List down reasons for material delays and take necessary actions with relevant stakeholders to eliminate such issues.
• Provide weekly material status to relevant Customer Connect Ops Lead.
• In the event of a revision to the PSD, align the material flow to accordingly, in order to maintain healthy inventory level at warehouse.
• Involve in supplier payment related issues as and when the need arises.
• Analyse the write off and submit for finance within the given timelines. Take initiatives to reduce cost of Bodyline write offs.
• Follow up on Supplier cost recoveries and ensure that company does not absorb any additional cost due to external issues.
• Have a thorough knowledge about MAS Operating System and ensure that MOS principles are adhered to in the day today operation.
• Ensure compliance with the defined governance framework including upholding the MAS DNA, following group/ company policies & procedures, best practices (where the group/ company policies and procedures are not defined) relevant laws & regulations and undertake every necessary action to comply with the governance framework.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree/ Diploma in Management/ Logistics/ Supply chain management
• 2-3 years’ relevant experience
• Knowledge on apparel manufacturing
• Negotiation skills
• Knowledge in SAP will be added advantage.
