Job description

Oppurtunity to be a part of the fastest growing insurance brand of sri lanka and to be a member of the motor underwriting team who manages the 3rd largest motor insurance portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

1. Contribute to overall motor underwriting operations and portfolio management.
2. Collecting and interpreting data. Building analytical models to monitor and analyse the portfolio performance.
3. Generate insights from the analysed data and present, report back to the management.
4. Support HOD in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance of the insurance transactions and provide recommendations to the management.
5. Create and design dashboards, report and data visualizations that are easy to understand and actionable for various stakeholders.
6. Development of BI Reports and Dashboards to be in line with the evolving information requirement of the organization.
7. Prepare any adhoc financial reporting as required by the management.
8. Work on special projects as required.

Candidate Profile

1. A degree in mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information System or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 1 years’ experience in motor underwriting portfolio analysis techniques. (Optional)
3. Non industry experts who carry minimum 1 years’ experience in analysing complex data structures and models are welcomed to apply.
4. Final year graduate students are welcomed to apply.
5. Expert knowledge & skills in Excel, Macros, Power Pivot, Pivot tables etc. MS-Office Suite and similar open source software.
6. Should possess a clear analytical mind-set, the desire to learn and the willingness to work with minimal supervision.
7. Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and managing Power BI or Tubleau driven dashboards & analytics will be an added advantage.
8. Knowledge in R Studio, Python and Statistical packs would be an added advantage.
9. Operational knowledge in Info path, SharePoint & PowerApps would be an added advantage.
10. A go getter with an excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
